A community gathering hall and eco-education centre. This self-sufficient building relies on silicone solar collectors for power; a grey-water recovery bio-system to purify sink waste and a composting toilet to recycle human waste to fertiliser. The building is a model for sustainable technologies. Construction was completed by an all-women crew in a unique job-training program to introduce young women to the construction trades organised by the Environmental Youth Alliance. | LINK
